![]() ![]() Inspired by the story, students each had the opportunity to write and/or draw about how he/she got ready for school. Although the students aren’t aware yet, Joseph Slate will be our author focus for the month of August. We also read the story, Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten, written by Joseph Slate. Students learned a new song and chant for scissor and glue skills and had plenty of practice this morning. In the classroom, we were hard at work to get a few important tasks done. Our other special class today was Spanish, and from down the hall I believe I heard a song in Spanish about a gummy bear! See if your Kindergartener can remember what important facial feature the Mona Lisa is missing. Right off the bat, students ventured up to see Mrs. Although many of our students are weary after their exciting first day- I can assure you they’re feeling the “good kind of tired” that comes from a full day of learning. ![]() patience, focus, kindness, sticky glue hands, slides, walking feet, stories, scissors, friends, and happy smiles. As a teacher, you can make the transition to school a bit easier by providing your class with fun and memorable Back to School activities. The first day of Kindergarten includes many things…. The first day of school can be overwhelming for kids, especially Kindergarten kids who may have never entered a classroom before. ![]() Friends, we did it!
